Lucky Coin

Lucky Coin is deceptively simple. You've got a coin, a series of narrow ledges, and one tap that flips it forward with a satisfying spin. Time the flick badly and it clatters off the edge; time it right and you chain a run of jumps that feels great in the hand. The whole thing plays with your thumb resting on the bottom of the screen.

What surprised me is how much variety they wrung out of one input. Later stages add moving platforms, gusts that push the coin mid-air, and little gaps you have to read a beat ahead. There's no clutter, no menus getting in the way, just you learning the physics until the tricky bits become muscle memory.

It's an easy game to open for two minutes and hard to close after ten. The art is clean and the sound of the coin landing is oddly addictive. A pick-up-and-go arcade game done with care.
